Erik, I don't know. This projector has sitting around here for a few years. I got in a film collection, but only got around to checking it out now.

Hey Dan, I misread your original post and got confused a bit. The B&H 3585 Autoload was not associated in any way with the Eiki projectors. I have a 3585 sitting right here. It is a great projector that I replaced the main worm gear in last year. It is autothread but is crap when it comes to spliced films. Needs the loop reset every time. Still, I don't see the crossover between B&H and Eiki. Totally different machines even in the later years. Eiki as far as I know didn't release anything here in the states besides the SL-0 projector for schools.
I do again state that the damage to the sprockets could only be done with a pysical insturment. Film cannot damage steel sprockets. I have had to repair so many films damaged by steel sprockets even ripped apart by sprocket wheels that I don't see a film damaging them.
Also, I have since bought another Eiki SL-0 and love it plus repaired the 3585 autoload. The 3585 has probably the most accurate sound I have heard on 16mm but is such a peach when it comes to spliced films that I don't use it for shows.

Hey again Dan, after looking over what I have I do have an unused 3585 autoload B&H stock machine. If you need it for parts I'd be willing to part with it for shipping cost. It was sold to a school and I don't see any use on the projector at all. It does have a broken worm gear which seems typical on this projector. I've taken one of them apart and replace the worm gear which for me was about a 2 hour job. I have a fully working one now but this one is just a boat anchor for me. I don't want to get into another repair job. As far as the rest of the projector it hasn't been used and is clean as a bell. If you want it let me know and I'll send it to you. Motor, lamps, belts, amp all are in new working condition unused. Just a broken worm gear.
