I have the 200' FIRST MEN IN THE MOON silent/red version and it is scope. The Ken 200' GODZILLA vs THE THING and GHIDRAH THE THREE HEADED MONSTER are in scope too. Both are B&W silents. I wonder why these couple titles were printed that way?

The reason those old "home movie" versions are in scope is probably that the editor was just handed whatever pre-print material the producer gave him to work with, and did the best he could with it.
