Hi there cause of sag on the take up reel .. have a old full feature film in good condition from around 1930 on a 2000f reel film has no breaks or splice does have slight warping .. when running 1/2 way on take up reel start to get sloppy and sag any thoughts will be most thank full ;) hi there great thanks i am going to try that i also think the cork in the take up drum is old i am going to replace it with new cork i see that the tolerance must be a good fit for it to work, mine i think is old there is quite a bit of slop on the drum and cork liner in the drum .. do you know what the correct thickness should be of the cork i think its about 2mm i have 3mm but i can bring it down to 2mm i have read in the work shop manual that one must keep this cork lubed with a silicone grease ? there are conflicting opinions on that some say dry no grease ? do you know ? i thank you for the feed back , the film i have would be sad to have to split it over 2 reels .. |

Hi, Marco! You could give the film a 180 degree twist before Connecting it to the supply reel. Be sure to reverse the twist before rewinding it. Or you could divide the film into two 1200 foot reels. |
