I have to say because of the old budget, I have ended up using B&H 1500s and 2500s autoload and have had very good results. I did mange to get a neoprene worm gear installed in my 2590. The 1500s I use still have decent nylon gears. Over the years I have learned to maintain them mechanically, except for replacing the worm gears. Right now I have a couple of Eikis, one has a sound problem I haven't resolved. The good one I am going to try using a one inch lens sent to me by the esteemed Wayne Tuell. Wayne, I did finally find the lens you sent me. |

I have an RM-1 and an RT-1. Both have served me very well though the RM has become a bit noisier than I would like. I had an SL-1 for a short while but never liked it. I hated the slotload design. In this model, at least, one was unable to see the rear sprocket and I can never trust that. I like to be able to clearly see all of the path. I also had a Bauer P8 Universal a few years ago which was OK but broke very shortly after purchase. |

I sold my favorite projector after we moved and I couldn't power it (30 amps) and didn't have the throw any longer to do it justice. It was an EIKI 5020 with 6000' capacity and 1000 watt Xenon. Now I use a pair of re-badged EIKI's badged B&H 3585 with a Kodak Pageant & older B&H for silent speed projection in the wings. AND there is a B&H 2585 in the shed for the rare instance I need a triple claw machine for shrunken or severely warped film. I found that best for shrunken film out of all the projectors I had over the years but don't care for it besides that since I only have one. For telecine, I use a RCA TP-66. It blows the doors off the factory telecine EIKI NT-OT's I used to use. Only draw back is the size! |

Dan, Yes, that's her although mine is brown in colour. My RT-1 is that blue colour. In addition, they were badged as ELF over here. |

My fav was the b&H machine I used in high school. It was a 2575 projector slot load but had an excellent picture very steady and really good sound. Also the projector bulb was extremely cheap and lasted a long time. |
