After watching The Invisible Ghost(sounds like an oxymoron) tonight, I realized it is a very good print. Unfortunately the previous owner cut the lab leaders off, so I don't know who released it. I'm guessing it is a Niles or Blackhawk. This print has excellent sound and on a scale of one to ten, an eight for sharpness and definition of focus. Made by Astor Pictures and Directed by Sam Katzman, it has a fast moving pace. The musical score is different and seems a bit miss used at times, but is not that bad. The woman that play's Bela Lugosi's wife has an eerie face that works quite well for effect. So many people die one after the other in the old house you'd think the cigar smoking detective would be more involved in that respect, but not the case. The butler, Evans, is very entertaining and does a great job at subtle humor. Even as campy as it is, it still maintains a disturbing atmosphere. I would give the print an A grade. Of course anything with Bela Lugosi is worth watching. [set5_b/set5_b/lurk5.gif]
