Roger....The size of the picture at each end of the zoom. The 14-30mm has a wider range so you will get the smallest and biggest picture area with that lens.

Thanks,Bill I saw the 15-25mm on ebay and just wondered what difference there was between it and my 14-30mm. Would like to improve my lens a bit since my lamp is only 100w. I am used to using Bell-Howell with the DFZ or DJL bulb which does a pretty good job of lighting up the screen although more expensive. |

The improvement would come by lowering the F1.3 to a F1.2/F1.1/F1.0 allowing more light to hit the screen. And improving image sharpness as well. Bill
