Well, it's only the first three reels, but what a discovery. It's always interesting when a "lost" film is found quietly biding its time in a film vault or collection.

That would be really cool if they can locate the rest of the film too.

Sadly some old time film collectors knew they had "lost" films and would not share the info with anyone. A friend of mine from Texas wasn't interested in films like his father was. My friend told me growing up his father would show him a film and tell him "...they think this one is lost, but here it is..." When his father passed away, my friend and his sister didn't want the collection, and couldn't find a buyer for the lot...way too many films...with a heavy price tag. Now the L.O.C. has them all...and they don't even know what they have. I just wish at the time my friend had known I collected film...he said I could have had all I could carry.

What a nice find...when I saw the heading I thought it was his second feature "THE MOUNTAIN EAGLE"...guess they will have to keep looking for that title!

I can't wait to see this....

I wonder if the remainder will be found? Hitch was the master film maker and this would be a great teaching tool. His silent period?
