Spent part of a very relaxing long weekend working on a few projectors which were collecting dust. New belts installed on three Elmo ST-1200s. One of the three machines had corroded/ rusted clutch pulley wheels (!) but fortunately I had a replacement in my parts graveyard. All three are now running nicely. Next I did an easy focus knob restore on an Eiki. I used clear plastic aquarium tubing on the spindle. Finally, I installed new rollers on one of my Ektagraphics (16CL). The original rollers on these machines become goo, so it was an easy, and necessary, half hour job to install a new set. My second CL is waiting for a roller set to be delivered. Fun time was had by all.

For those rusted pulleys, soak them overnight in Evapo-Rust. It should clean them up nicely.

You can buy Evapo-Rust at O'Reilly's Auto Parts, Auto Zone, and Harbor Freight Tools. O'Reilly's has it in both the quart ($8.00) and the gallon ($26.00) jugs. Everyone else sells it in the gallon jugs.

Well done Chris; my plan next month is to get a spare 16mm serviced, upgraded to modern lamps, and a new worm gear, then I should be set up for life.
