Since the American Christmas season started at least six weeks ago, I apologize for the tardiness of this announcement.

In any event, THE STINGIEST MAN IN TOWN, the absolute Holy Grail of lost television Dickens adaptations, will finally be coming out on home video -- this week in fact. It is a musical starring the great Basil Rathbone.

I recently launched a blog devoted to Dickens adaptations where the news broke. There are only four postings so far. The first and third (October 13 and October 30) relate to STINGIEST MAN. Address is:
