I haven't owned one but have spoken to others who had. It had more plastic parts than the GS/ST range and from what I can gather while the playback sound wasn't quite as good as a GS, recording facilities were[i]excellent It was cheaper than a GS but more expensive than a ST1200HD. I like the ST1200HD model for its solid construction and reliability and the GS for playback sound in a hall. Due to its construction, using a scope lens on the Chinon SS1200 wasn't as straightforward as the Elmo range.(or so was the perceived opinion of users) regards, Mal [/i] |

Maybe I'm mstaken, but didn't Chinon have something to do with Dixon's over here in the UK. |
