Hi all,

We have a MovieStuff Workprinter set up to transfer regular 8mm and super 8mm to digital, using Velocity as the software.

I'm getting some serious vertical pulldown artifacting - I've uploaded a short video here
https://youtu.be/NbOvsnrAI6E

I've tried adjusting the timing ring a millimeter at a time and was unsuccessful. Any other advice?

Thanks!

You're having a sync problem. Use "Manual" sync and try it at -15.00 setting on a short clip. Don't need to recapture, just re-process. Continue to try different settings until problem goes away. Odd, but I found the higher settings adjust smaller pulldown issues better than lower settings.
You've probably already solved this, but wanted to pass on my experience (I have two Workprinter-HD units that I converted to work with direct capture from projector lens).
Tom

Upon looking at the video in question more closely, a smaller manual sync adjustment may be better to start, say -2.00 or +2.00
