Do you use more than one projector when doing a film show? Are they all the same gauge? Are you projectors in an enclosure or out where they can be heard?

I have a large wooden box that is sound proofed. It only holds one projector at a time, so I have to lift one out and lift another in when changing gauges. It's high enough to sit in front without casting a head shadow on the screen.

My dream is to build a small walk in booth that will accommodate a 16mm optical, a 16mm magnetic, two super 8 sound, and one standard 8mm sound projector with a selector box to route the sound for all five projectors to external speakers.

Some years ago I used to make presentations to various History Societies using S8mm and 16mm in one programme (USA-program). The specialist British coal mining films were 16mil then while I explained the 2nd part of the show my friend used to set up the GS ready for the railroad items on S8mm.

As the 16mm Elf had a non-zoom lens, the distance between the screen and stand was set with the picture filling the 7ft screen, then the focal length of the GS lens would be adjusted to give the same size image. All this would be done before the audience arrived. Fun days!

My standard setup is an Elmo ST-800 plus an ST-1200HD. If nothing else this arrangement keeps my main machines active: especially since the '1200 doesn't do very well with being left in storage.

I'm working on a module to do multiple sound inputs, but mine will electronically add the inputs together instead of being a selector switch. I have a switch module now and it works OK except it has a habit of being set for the wrong projector ("Why is there no sound?!!!") and it makes a "pop" through the speakers when I switch it over.
