I was wondering if this topic is just us dreaming or if someone in a position to make it real would be reading.....

I've decided to narrow my previous post to "MISSION IMPOSSIBLE" ....I have the trailer and it's great and I'm suprised that this film never got the Derann or CHC treatment as a full feature because of how popular it was.

Bill :D

P.S. OK...PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE too! [set5_b/set5_b/sifone.gif]

That's good Dan! More people need to post what they would buy.

Or...someone could agree with my choices!

Oh, the list is long!

I would very much love to see "Ferris Buellers Day Off" on 16 mm LPP stock, one of my favorites, not to mention all the Monty Python features!

The absolute DREAM print tho; would have to be "Lord of the Rings" trilogy on Super 8 or 16 mm. Golly moses, that would probably be 30-40 600' reels :D

I may be a bit lost but I thought an independant company did release the LOTR saga on super 8 stereo and scope. May be mistaken But I think they have been listed on Robbie's Reels websight for a time now. Could have been dupe prints. I know Robbie was selling 16mm scope trailers for all three films but he is so hard to get ahold of. Haven't checked his websight in awhile but have reliably bought from him before so he is an honest dealer.
As far as the wish list, It was a slightly obscure film but I would purchase Labrynth on either super 8 or 16mm as long as it is a scope print. I think Labrynth was the second to last film Henson made before he passed and has been one of my favorites since I was a kid. Have the Blu-ray but the transfer density on a 52 inch screen looks like super 8. Bad transfer of an early digital format. Probably made for laserdisc but not up to blu ray standards. Would love to be able to show it on super 8 or 16mm scope in higher quality than blu ray.

CHC has released Hard Days Night for around approximately $750.

Seriously, would any of you guys pay this for any Super 8 film?
To be honest, much as I love the hobby, I find some of the prices for some titles - the Star Wars stuff, for instance - just unbelievable. I can imagine these prices back in the day when there was no other way to see these films, but not these days.

If someone were make a couple new prints of "Death Race 2000" that'd be good. As for movies made within the last decade, I'd say a 16mm scope release of "The Matrix" would be awesome.

I would never pay that much for a print. A few to add to the list though are Rocky in scope or cropped, Rambo, the newest Rambo from a few years ago, Or a full print of Close Encounters in super 8 scope.
