I was wondering as a discussion topic what lens everyone prefers for showing scope films. I am using an old Sankor Scope 7 lens for everything from super 8 to 35mm. It was designed for 35mm theatrical presentations but was designed to match up to a flat lens and has an additional focus ring on the outside barrel that focuses down to about 20' throwing distance. For the home it is the best I could find and throws a really sharp image at a short throw on every format. It is a Japanese lens and the barrel has been well-used but the optics are in perfect condition. As far as theater I have worked with Strong, Simplex and a couple lenses I don't even remember the names of but for home use, I've been using this Sankor about 15 years on every format.
