I realise that this posting should be on Films For Sale but I am hoping that Dan will let it remain here.

I recently bought a projector on German eBay and it arrived with a film, naturally the film has a German sound-track. I thought it would be easy to advertise it on German eBay as that is where it would obviously sell. But, I discovered that although you can buy from any country, you can only advertise in the country to which you are registered with eBay.

So I am hoping that someone who understands German might be interested in my Super 8 magnetic sound film.

"Ganovenehre" (Honor Among Thieves) was made in 1966 and a three-reel condensed version was issued on Super 8 in 1976. The film is set in the Golden Twenties. Newly released from prison, Georg is given a job as a pimp but soon discovers his girl-friend is one of the prostitutes he is to oversee. There are humourous moments and some 20's music.

The film was issued on three 400 feet (120 m) spools, but I only have the first part (with original titles) and the last part (with ENDE). As I do not understand German I do not know if the missing middle reel is importnt to the story.

The film is on black and white Orwo stock and is in excellent condition, lovely picture and good sound. It is on the original spools. The two clam-shell cases are also excellent.

The full trailer can be accessed on YouTube.

The price is £25, plus appropriate postage.

Maurice, it would help your chances of selling by also posting this in the 8mm films for sale section.

This is an International forum, so there are members from all over the world. Even if some do not understand English there is the "Google Translator" at the top of each page. If a member chooses to post in a language other than English, it can be translated to any of 40 languages in just a few seconds.

There are many members who speak German. :D "I know a little German...look, he's sitting over there."
