Hi. I have been searching and searching online for a Repair/Service Manual for the Eumig Mark 610D Projector. The rubber belt broke and I'd like to try to replace it myself. Help!

This may seem silly at first but if you know of a local sewing machine sales and repair shop, take the belt there to see if they can fit a replacement. The internal workings are about the same in a projector and that's how I've found every replacement belt I've ever needed. It's cheaper too.

Welcome to the Forum, Ray. Hopefully someone on here is familiar with the belt configuration on that projector and can give you some advice. Erik's suggestion is a good one I never thought of doing. If you need an exact match, check out "Isellprojectorbelts" on eBay for a replacement. Meanwhile, anyone able to comment on this Eumig?

I will add that if you check locally you could probably get a better deal in some cases. I've replaced belts for Eumigs, B&H, Eiki, and Sankyo projectors in super 8 and 16mm and gotten much better belts than the ones strictly provided for projectors. I've also never paid over $5 for one. Worth looking into if you're willing to do a little footwork.

Ray, I bought quite a few belts from belt manufacturers in many sizes to keep on hand. They're very inexpensive and work well. I've also bought belts from the fellow on Ebay that Chris suggested: isellprojectorbelts These worked well too. Steve Osborne sells belts ans so does Leon Norris and many others you will find by clicking the tab at the top of the page that reads "Film And Film Related Sellers".

Welcome to the the friendliest forum on the web. [set5_b/set5_b/willy_nilly.gif]
