After reading and posting on the thread to the Fumeo projector I am wondering, what was the last models of super 8 sound projectors on the market? In the past I've had Sankyo 6000 and Minolta dual sound super 8's. Both were mainly plastic but ran like monsters. What were the last super 8 sound machines in production? Lately I've bought a pair of Eumig sound dual 8's which I think were made about the same time as I was but very happy to show films on them.

The last Elmo GS-1200 was made in 1984. I would guess the last super 8 projectors were made in the 1980s. Pro8 still makes super 8 cameras.

The last projector I sold on Ebay I think was made in the 80's. It was a very nice Chinon I got from Ebay but offered both optical and magnetic mono sound. Don't remember the model number but it had a solid aluminum frame and plastic body. What a champ it was, wish I hadn't sold it. It had a huge zoom lens and really bright lamp. Also the optical sound was much better than I excpected. Aaah, Remo Williams. Hahaha. Bad film but great presentation.
Still, much of what I had otherwise seemed to be a bit older probably late 70's.
