I got a total of 33 correct entries, which was a lot better than the 18 of my last quiz, but still a very poor response in my view. No new quiz for next issue (I haven't got the space) but I'll think about doing one in the Nov-Dec issue if I can, space permitting.

I decided to award 5 prizes this time, a 1st prize of a £30 Credit Note, a 2nd prize of a £15 Credit Note and 3 Third prizes of a £5 Credit Note. I'll list the winners below after I give the answers to the quiz.

Q1) = Harold Abrahams & Eric Liddell were the famous athletets from "Chariots of Fire"
Q2) = Dick Van Dyke played "Caractacus Potts" in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"
Q3) = Andie MacDowell played "Jane" in "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan The Ape Man"
Q4) = Every Which Way But Loose & Any Which Way You Can were the 2 films that Clint Eastwood played "Philo Beddoe"
Q5) = The Fighting Kentuckian was the John Wayne film that "Oliver Hardy" co-starred in
Q6) = Marnie was the Hitchcock film thar starred "Sean Connery"
Q7) = 1982 was the year "An Officer ana a Gentleman" was released
Q8) = Richard Pryor played "Gus Gorman" in "Superman III"
Q9) = Robert Vaughan played "Lee" in "The Magnificent 7"
Q10) = Robert Pattison played "Cedric Diggory" in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire"
Q11) = Hugh Grant starred with "Sandra Bullock" in "Two Weeks Notice"
Q12) = Yul Brynner played "Rameses" in "The Ten Commandments"

There you have it, and now the winners:

First Prize of a £30 CREDIT NOTE went to Tom Smith
Second Prize of a £15 CREDIT NOTE went to Tom Murin Jr.
And the 3 JOINT 3rd prizes of a £5 CREDIT NOTE went to
Colin Auty
Austin Holcombe
Osi Osgood

As you can see I was more generous with prizes as I was quite pleased with the reaction to the quiz, and I hope all those that entered and didn't win a prize enjoyed the fun of the quiz.
