Hey Desmond, the response you left made more sense than you know in my experience. I worked part time at the local theater in the holiday seasons for about 2 years awhile back. The equiptment was installed very quickly and not very well. We were using Super Simplex 35mm machines with Strong lamphouses. I insisted that the lamphouse voltages were way to high for the small screen sizes we had and many of the zenon lamps had what looked like melted electrodes after only a few weeks. We used to replace lamps every couple weeks which became a real pain. After several years they seem to have corrected the problem but once I left there I took over the oldest theater in my town and we used 500W small zenon bulbs which I never replace in the 2 1/2 years I worked there. Thanks for the info.
