Thought UK members who might use Hermes as their parcel courier should be informed that new terms and conditions came into force yesterday, 2nd November. The disturbing one for senders is that unlike Royal Mail and Parcelforce, where an undelivered parcel is returned to the sender. Hermes state that after 3 failed attempts, if they don't hear from the recipient, they may destroy the parcel. If you took out full insurance for loss or damage, you would lose that as well as Hermes would say that you agreed to these conditions when you sent the parcel.
